What's for dinner
What to have for dinner? I decided to try a recipe I saw on Food Network... chicken and sausage baked with potatoes thyme and rosemary. OK, what else. I purchased a pomegranate the other day so I thought I'd have a field greens salad with the pomegranate. Had to look up on the web how to get to the fruit - which is these little berry like things with seeds. But I do have to say, it's juicy and the juice goes all over. My new white top is spotted - hope it will wash out. But the juice aside, opening it up and "harvesting" the poms was not real hard. Now we are waiting to eat... dinner smells good and the salad is made... added toasted walnuts to the salad so it should be good. Well, that's what's for dinner!

Snow?? NO
With the possibility of snow in the forecast, we were not sure what we would find this morning. A few gritty flakes that looked like sea salt were on the porch. The stuff on the car had melted by the time we went to breakfast. False alarm... and glad of it.
The trees are bare and leaves cover the ground where the ferns used to grow. B has been out rather often to blow them off the drive, decks and patio into the woods but for the past several days has not had to do that as much since most of the leaves are on the ground and just moving around due to the wind. It's windy out right now. Tonight they are saying to expect lows in the lower 20's. Now that's COLD!
