A Visit by the Deer

It was a really nice day - especially after the rain we had over the weekend. I had a meeting at the library this morning and we did things around the house in the afternoon. When we went out for the mail and trash around 4 or so, we saw a family of deer up the hill. As luck would have it, I didn't have my camera. However, later as I was fixing dinner, B called to me - they had come to visit.
We don't usually see a Buck this "old" as shown by his antlers. I had the telephoto lens on the camera and got these shots from the deck - they were out on the road. They look rather skinny...

Mama and baby were along for the walk and the three of them just were munching their way down the road. We really enjoyed their visit, in part because they didn't eat our shrubs!
