A Cold Day and Fun on the Wii

We expected it to be cold – but not this cold! Earlier this week it got into the 40’s and the snow was melting and we got the car washed and it stayed that way. Then, yesterday we awoke to temperatures in the 30’s which was the high for the day. By last evening the temperatures were really dropping and by late last night it was single digits. So, when we got up this morning we expected cold. And boy, did we get it! On the way to breakfast it was minus four. And on the way home it was MINUS NINE… and we wondered if the car thermometer was accurate – yea, as we passed banks and such they also agreed it was that cold!!

We really didn’t do much today. We had company for dinner last night and so the house is CLEAN… and so I really just relaxed. Even took a nap, which I never do. But we were up later than usual and I was tired, and things were clean so I took a nap. That’s really nice! A good thing to do and I then had a piece of bread (I had made a loaf in the bread maker) and then started playing with the Wii. Now we got the Wii a while ago but I got stuck on Super Mario Galaxy and that has been all I’ve been playing. But we have Wii Fit and some other board exercise activities so I have been going back and playing them. Then I just got Rayman Raving Rabbids. This is the stupidest game….and it’s fun!!!! So I spent this afternoon attempting to play it… and I did learn things and giggled and yelled and such. I’m not very good at it but it’s fun! We have always enjoyed doing games. We started with our friends Emily and Sam with Frogger and Pac Man. Yea, that long ago… back in the 70’s. Then we did several other systems. I really haven’t been into gaming for a while… and then we went and got the Wii. And I’m really enjoying it. I spend more time on Super Mario Galaxy but at times I find the old thumb joints hurt from frantically trying to do the tasks Mario has. It’s fun and really nice to have the time to “play!!! Retirement is fun, too.
