It seems that when I intend to sit down and blog I get sidetracked. So, it moved to the list of things "to do" today. I've been working off and on to pack up winter stuff and get out and iron, if needed, spring stuff. I store much of the out of season clothes in totes that are kept in the large storage area in the heater room. Today we were having the heater serviced - the yearly spring tune up. So Honey and I went into the bedroom and I unpacked and ironed and Honey paced and watched what she could from the bedroom windows. She wants to help when someone is here to do something around the house and her helpfulness is not very helpful! I got a lot of things ironed and after a long walk for Honey we headed out to our local Wegmans which is located near the Viewmont Mall - about a 45 minute drive. I love that store and can find things there that are not available locally. We got a hoagie there - one of the best in the area - and then stopped in to Sam's to pick up some chuck roast and rotisserie chicken. While there we saw flags and since our flag is starting to show wear, we added that to the cart along with some large yellow onions and some cans of chicken. The chicken was because they were serving tastes of this chicken wing dip with blue cheese dressing, canned chicken, hot sauce and cream cheese. It was good and since we had all the ingredients but the chicken, we bought that. Then out to get some gas and home to eat half the hoagie and catch up on email and such. Below are some pictures of the lake - this past weekend the docks went in. Also some pictures of Honey.
The docks in a very tranquil lake.
From where I took the picture above, I shot over to the right and you can see the second section of docks where we will have our boat.
Now, Honey really isn't supposed to sit on the chair...you can see that that rule is NOT followed. She is a hoot! B was out the other day and I think this is where she spends much of her time when we are gone. She had this look on her face when I came in as if to say, well, what cha gonna do??? Clearly, I did nothing!
So she curled up and relaxed. She does hang out a bit but seems comfortable.
Soooo cute
On Monday it was HOT up here - we were in the 80s. This deck is narrow and runs around the house from the front door to the breakfast area. She uses the back sliders to get out. B found these mesh curtains that hang on the outside that lets Honey go in our out but keeps (for the most part) bugs out. These are only open when we are in the living room. Lately, with the lovely warm weather, she has been going out and laying down in the sun to get a tan along with her Zzz. Total relaxation!
