How the crops are doing

The tomatoes are doing great! These are two that I purchased at WalMart as they had a nice selection. I also planted seeds and those are doing well but are smaller. We should have loads of tomatoes if all goes well!

These are radishes that I really am not to happy with. They are thick skinned and not as tasty as I expected. Probably won't do them again next year.

This was exciting - starting to pick beans. I already have picked lettuce -had a salad of my OWN lettuce today for lunch. Last night we had beans..... all 8 of them. Yea, I know, whoopee. But is is a big deal 'cause I grew these little guys from seeds and here they are! I also have TWO pea pods and hope more will come as that's not too many peas. As you can see, I have lots of containers on the front deck where the sun is really strong. There are herbs on the other side of the tomatoes as you go around to the side. In front of me I have squash, more beans and tomatoes and various types of peppers.

Close up of some of the beans. Small... but a quick zap in the microwave and they were added to last night's salad. I left them whole to be sure we could find them :)

More pictures to follow.... yum yum.
